In this three part turned four part video series we build a “multi function miter saw station” that will be used not only as a miter saw station but also a space for my sanding machines, drill press and scroll saw.
In part four we finish hanging the doors, install some full extension shelves and plumb in our shop vac.

I can understand the relief of finally getting a project finished. The chop saw station turned out really nice. Would you mind posting a link to the store you purchased the drawer slides from?
Hi Doug, Here is a link to the runners.

The price has gone up by about $1.80 since I purchased them but still at $9 a great buy, just make sure your getting a couple of pairs to make the postage cost worth it (he combines postage so the more you get the cheaper the postage works out to be).
Good job. I enjoyed watching your build. Thanks for the videos.
Thank you!
Nice work – I am envious of the slides – I knew they weren’t Bunning’s jobs – but $7?? what about shipping? Also I would have thought the sheet of plywood would have been half of that budget estimate – if not more? Sorry for fixating on cost but it’s an integral part of the process and it’s handy to know.
Yep $7 at the time, but I just checked and now they are upto $8.99, shipping was more then the slides them self at $18 but as it had combined postage that was split between 6 pairs making it about $3 postage per slide. In regards to plywood cost, if I was to go to bunnings/masters for the plywood it would have been quite expensive but I have a local salvage yard that got a whole lot at an auction and is selling it for $25 – $29 a sheet. So it was all down to shopping around!
Hi you could tape on the template, love the speeded up bits, good table saw tip, would the right angle cut at the band saw then finish at the router be a quicker way? would a wee back lip on the drawers stop stuff falling of the back? but hey great video and neat project,G subscribed.
Thanks for the commend, all of the above ideas are great, but maybe instead of the using the router to finish the shoulder you could use the table saw to make it even quicker again. I will be adding a lip on the back of the shelves soon as lighter items will slide back and fall through the gap I’m sure.
Aah! that explains it – you really are the master of shopping around for “good deals”. Well done.
Folkin sweet shirt. Oh, and the video was good too.
Hey there I’m based in South Africa and its awesome to watch some vids that are done with metric measurements. Thanks dude.
Nice job! But not sure about the woodworker flip flops. As you get older you start dropping things. Ouch! Also, what would you do about chip out on back of the cut safely? Thanks.
well done
Great instructional videos Jordo. I’ve just used it to build two of your units side by side with my wood and metal cut off saws sharing the full length. They’ve come up a treat and I’m using the same method now for lots of other shelves and benches. Cant thank you enough. They should give you a TV show.
Loved this series. Definitely some stuff I would have done differently but that’s what’ doing it yourself is about right? Doing it the way you want. Thanks for your hard work! You definitely earned my +sub.
